Bondi Reveals Investigation into President's Adversaries and Jeffrey Epstein Ties
This past Friday, Pam Bondi assigned interim US attorney Jay Clayton to head an inquiry into political adversaries of Donald Trump and their links with Jeffrey Epstein. This decision came shortly after the president ordered her to launch the probe.
During an announcement, the Attorney General highlighted Jay Clayton as “one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country”. The official added, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”
This development contrasts with a July memo from federal authorities which stated that documents related to Epstein lacked grounds for further inquiries. As per the document, authorities “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”
